I usually get up at 6 and start waking up the babies at 6:30. We change them, dress them, wash their hands, and bring them to the dining room for breakfast. After we feed them and bring them back to the baby room we take turns eating breakfast.
At 8:30 i help one of the Allan's daughters, Zoe, with preschool. We have 9 preschoolers and they're so cute and funny! We've been teaching them numbers, letters, and shapes. After preschool ends at 10 i have until 11:30 when im usually helping with the babies again, feeding them at lunch time. The lunch meal is the big meal of the day.
After lunch i try to have a nap because i get so tired. and i'm usually back on shift at 4:30 until 7 for the dinnertime and bedtime shift. We feed the babies dinner, then they get bottles, are changed into their pajamas and are put to bed. At 7 is the nightly meeting where Ron or Glenda speak to the kids about God. Sometimes one of the Allans play the guitar and they sing. It's one of the highlights of my day. I try to understand what i can, but it really helps when i sit beside someone who knows english and they can translate for me. Even though the talks are directed at the kids, it's been refreshing for me as well. At around 7:30 the kids say goodnight and go to bed.
In the evenings we usually eat leftovers or drink tea or coffee and watch a movie. You would THINK the coffee here would be amazing. but apparently all the good coffee gets exported.
i guess that's it for now, nothing too exciting to share but i'm so glad i'm feeling better today. I'm thinking a lot about home, but i'm glad i'm here.
